To say yes to Twitter 2.0 under Eln is to say yes to having an abusive, likely borderline illegal, if not fully illegal in some areas, work experiance in which a rich man treats you like robots & your job security is non existent. He will burn you out, fire you, and replace you.

The tools we choose have a major impact on our access to core web platform features. Are we choosing tools that help us move forward, or do some of these tools hold us back?

I haven't found a way to subscribe to a specific label or search query in Github, which would be very useful on a repo like csswg-drafts.

I don't care if it's thru notifications or RSS, anyone know tools that could help with this?

Frameworks obfuscate away & front-end dev spans so many specialities.

When there's a 'discussion' on here it's common to see folks say 'learn the web platform'.

Got me thinking.

What's the most useful thing you've learnt about the web platform for YOUR area of expertise?

I've found that knowing this gives me a clearer mental model when elements aren't exposed as I'd expect.

There are situations where it's useful to have inputs (range, radio/checkbox, select) react immediately w/o form submission - but that's an a11y anti-pattern.

Button toggles (aria-pressed) can replace many radio/check cases - are there good solutions for the others?

Safari 16.1 is now available with Web Push for macOS Ventura, animated AVIF, passkeys in more places, new viewport sizes on iPadOS, hover with Apple Pencil, scroll to text fragments, screen capture improvements, and more — plus lots of fixes and polish.
