Holy Week is always a highlight of the year for us. From Victoria to Stanford, Mozart to Bairstow, Handel to Stainer it has been a joy to enrich the worship in this glorious place at this the most profound and important time of the church’s year.

Over 16,000 people have visited Tewkesbury Abbey this month to see Luke Jerram’s Gaia. Tonight we had a wonderful organ concert from Carleton Etherington to finish our creation-themed concert series. Gaia is still in the Abbey for three more days if you want to visit.

So looking forward to this later! A great way to see Gaia - incredible artwork plus the inspiring sounds of our splendid Milton organ. Programme includes music by Bach, movements from Holst’s Planets Suite and ends with Neil Cox’s dramatic Creation Dance.

We had a lovely Epiphany carol service at Tewkesbury Abbey this evening. Super singing from Tewkesbury Abbey Choir, amazing candles setup by our volunteers and so many people staying afterwards to see the candles in the Abbey and warm up with some mulled wine in the parish hall!…

This event is part of the GAIA experience in the Abbey.

All are welcome to attend our Epiphany Carol Service at Tewkesbury Abbey tomorrow at 6pm. The service includes music by Palestrina, Millington, Warlock, Stopford, Hewitt Jones and Stewart, plus some inspiring congregational hymns!
