The overnight rain has certainly made a difference to working conditions in Langdale today! luckily we got the new bridge beams over before the rain.CascadeCumbria

We've seen some large rainfall totals over the past couple of days, with over a month's worth of rain falling in places.

For example the average rainfall for May in Carlisle is around 55 mm.

Due to heavy rainfall overnight, there is localised flooding in parts of Cumbria this morning.

Please do not try to drive through flood water.

A multi-agency coordination group has been set up overnight as partner agencies deal with localised flooding in Cumbria following persistent rainfall.

A severe flood warning is in place in #Cumbria for the River Roe and River Ive from Highbridge to Stockdalewath.
