🎊 My warmest congratulations to the newest class of European astronauts 🧑🏻‍🚀🇪🇺, graduating today from their initial training at the European Astronaut Center Cologne! Proud to see these shiny new astronauts wings on your nametags🕊, as a symbol of what you've accomplished so far…

International Space Station European Space Agency ESA Technology ESA Commercialisation Gateway ESA France ESA Nederland ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet carried out three spacewalks in the span of 10 days to install two of the new solar arrays, called iROSA, in 2021. 👨‍🚀☀️

The design of these new solar arrays will be used to power the lunar Gateway #ForwardToTheMoon 🌚

Quite a responsability today to fly all these young astronauts 🧑🏻‍🚀(and some… less young ;) ) on a ZeroG flight🛫🛬, to give them a taste of weightlessness, surrounded by science experiments 🧪🧑🏽‍🔬 … and if that’s not the perfect preparation for a flight to the ISS, I don’t know…
