Something besides and in addition to IQ explains the success of people and societies.

Reducing everything to IQ misses the full picture.

Many people with high IQs often do dumb things or sometimes fail to see things that average minds see so clearly.

So, it's IQ + more.

This “traders strike” may turn out to be the harbinger of a new form of protest in Uganda: where an aggrieved section of society no longer waits for compromised politicians to take up their cause but organises and protests for themselves. The exhibitions now this!

Lt. Gen. Herzl Halevi, Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, this afternoon visited Nevatim Airbase in the Negev desert.

Presumably, this is where the Air Force fighter jets will set off for Iran -- unless it's a decoy to confuse Iran and use another base.

There's a need for oral history on how many Kenyans of a certain age benefitted from amazing Ugandan teachers who fled Amin.

Remarkably, that was also Kenya’s golden age of its refugee policy.

Updates:

- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has begun a War Cabinet meeting to discuss a response to Iran's attack.

My forecast
- The price of Brent crude rose by 2.7% yesterday to $92.09 a barrel on fears Iran could soon attack Israel.

Now that it has and Israel is certain to hit back, oil could rise above $100 soon, meaning the IMF will revise downward its global economic growth estimate.

My forecast
- Attacks by Yemen's Houthi rebels on ships in the Red Sea and Hamas' ability to withstand Israeli strikes have emboldened Iran.

If the Houthis resume attacks in the Red Sea and Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, two-thirds of all global sea freight comes to a halt.

'Even though some of the devices fired at the Jewish state came from Iran's proxies, including Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, it was a massive attack. 110 ballistic missiles, 36 cruise missiles, and 185 drones.'
