Patriots have beaten the Jets 12 straight times. Is this the day the streak ends? Also a big showdown in the NFC West between 49ers & Rams. Which team will get back on track and start looking like themselves. I think McCaffrey gets 49ers run game going today.

There are some big afternoon games in the NFL. Bears/Cowboys—can Justin Fields slow down that Dallas D with some designed runs? Panthers/Falcons suddenly playing for 1st place. Can the Seahawks resurgent D slow down Giants running with Saquan and D Jones?

These Buffalo fans and their RVs have been here in the stadium parking lot since since 8:00 am YESTERDAY MORNING. The Bills mafia is legendary and we’re going to get a look at them tonight on Sunday Night Football on NBC

We’re in Buffalo so I took my morning walk downtown listening to Tauren Wells praise music. Beautiful morning! I was able to take in some great history—a monument to President William McKinley and Lafayette square. Also ran into some Packer fans getting ready for the game.

I was in Tampa for the game Thursday night and future HOF QB Tom Brady Vs Lamar Jackson and Baltimore. I’ll be in Buffalo Sunday night to see future HOF QB Aaron Rodgers vs. Josh Allen and the Bills on Sunday Night Football on NBC Pretty awesome week🔥

It’s a rare night when the Bucs are at home and I am off work so our family is going to enjoy the game tonight. I’m anxious to see if Tampa can get its O going against a confusing Ravens defense? And what will Lamar Jackson have in store for the Bucs D? Should be fun!

I thought the same thing watching the game last night Andrew Brandt I was under the impression we had a big push to protect the quarterbacks. Maybe not?

Before the season started I wouldn’t have guessed that after 7 weeks the Packers, Bucs, 49ers, Saints & Pats would all be under .500 and the Jets, Giants & Seahawks wold be on fire. But that’s the NFL this year.

I thought the Chiefs had an outstanding game plan on offense today. They slowed the 49ers pass rush down with outside runs and jet sweeps. They got JuJu involved in the intermediate zones and Valdez-Scantling deep. 529 yards in 58 plays against a great defense is incredible.

Of the 3 win teams going into this weekend the Bengals were the most impressive. Their offensive line has been better and they have so many weapons to attack when they see man coverage. Very surprised to see Seattle in 1st place in the NFC West but they looked good today as well.

Kansas City’s RBs have blocked this sprint out pass the same way the whole first half. They chop the DE. Three times it was deemed to be legal and the 4th time on a TD pass it’s called a penalty. Needs to be called consistently one way or the other????

In the NFC East the 1st place Eagles are off. I think the Cowboys will roll with Dak back against Detroit. Giants will have their hands full against a fast defense in Jacksonville. Taylor Heinicke will play well for Washington but Green Bay will outscore them.

With almost half the league hovering around .500 it’s time for some teams to establish themselves. Two games I’ll have my eye on are Atlanta at Cinn & Ind at Tenn. Balt, Tampa, GB & SF are teams we expected to contend who are at .500. Which teams in this group do you believe in?

Pastor Mike Ash spoke this morning Grace Family Church on the Holy Spirit’s role in our lives. He said the Holy Spirit dwells in believers to help us live and function in this world by counseling, comforting, convicting, and strengthening us. We need to let Him guide us.

We’ve got a good one on Sunday Night Football on NBC this week. Miami was red-hot early before Tua Tagovailoa got hurt. Pittsburgh was very sluggish trying to replace Ben Roethlisberger and deal with some defensive injuries. Tua is back and Pittsburgh shocked Tampa last week. Should be 🔥in Miami!

In the AFC Buff has 5 wins. KC, Jets & Chargers have 4 wins. A lot of teams around .500 but I would keep an eye on New England. Their D is solid and their offense is coming on.

We’re at the October All Pro Dad breakfast at Carrollwood Day School this morning. We talk about why we’re proud of our kids and discuss a monthly topic with them. This month’s topic is READING. We were encouraged to read more with our kids. Just fun to spend a morning together.
