I love the way James Maddison speaks in interviews. He never tries to shy away from answering the most difficult questions and always comes across so well.

And he should definitely be in the England squad for the record. Top quality player who brings goals.

Disgusting scenes in Madrid tonight. Hundreds, if not thousands, of Atletico fans chanting “you are a monkey Vinicius” outside the stadium. There’s no words to describe these people. Scum of the earth.

We haven’t been dominated like that in several months. The last one I can recall is probably the 0-2 against Man City early in the year.

Arsenal are the real deal this season and William Saliba is comfortably one of the top centre backs in the league. The guy is a monster.

I’ve been watching football for a long time and Erling Haaland is easily one of the best strikers I’ve ever seen.

He’s right up there in the very top bracket alongside some of the greats. It doesn’t matter what kind of chance it is, he’s just an absolute killer in front of goal.

Haha. I’ve been duped. I saw a fake England squad that was missing a few obvious picks. Ignore my last tweet.

Ivan Toney has been called up to the England squad. Two years later than he should have been, but better late than never.

Juventus had a 95th minute winner disallowed last night because the VAR only checked for offside on players in the penalty area, totally ignoring Candreva playing everyone onside from out wide. Juve had two players and their manager sent off in the aftermath.

What a disgrace.

All of the top clubs had their chance to sign Ivan Toney for £40-45million.

The price is now £100million and it’s still a bargain.

Confirmed for a second time that Newcastle now finished in the market.

No more incomings expected. Current squad will push forward until January and some targets will be revisited. James Maddison and Joao Pedro still on the list despite failed bids during this window.

Arsenal have made a third and final bid of £25million for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz. Previous bids of £20-23million rejected.

Last chance. Either it’s accepted or Arsenal revisit a deal for Danilo in January. Douglas Luiz en-route to London, hoping for move.

No surprise here, but nothing else expected for Man City. All done. Execs have left the office.

New contracts the priority as reported earlier. Bernardo Silva talks to open soon and Phil Foden announcement in coming weeks.
