Went out today to train an undergraduate and we were both thrilled to see this one! 🎶🎶🎶

Is there a website to search for taxonomic (nomenclature) history for a species?

For example, Emydoidea blandingii (Holbrook 1838)?

Does anyone have HOBO MX2201 temperature loggers lying around that they are not using?

And then, as if on cue, he turned and gave me the best photograph! Two snappers on one log! Lucky! 🐢🐢

Basking buddies! But don’t let the size fool you. It’s an adult Painted Turtle and a juvenile Blanding’s Turtle. 🐢🐢

Turtles are out but sadly these were all non-native Red-eared Sliders! 🫠🐢
