I went to visit the UCL Action for Palestine encampment for the third time and talked to one of the students. It was peaceful and organised. Many different students are there. In particular Jewish students are part of it and plan to hold a Shabbat later today.

We invite all members of the UCL community to join us in community and in solidarity with the Palestinian people at the Apartheid Free Zone in Main Quad, UCL

If UK government thinks this will die down by meeting with chancellors, they can think again. There is no returning from this. Until liberation, until we see a free Palestine 🇵🇸

The unions on campus condemn the locking down of the campus with no access to peaceful visitors and those who wish to witness/report/document what is happening.

We have written to management to complain.

UCL locked the public out on the day we held a planned rally on 26th April a week BEFORE the encampment started..

We arrived on the day to security checks to an otherwise open campus. Unions have condemned this move. UCL must open the gates NOW!

Pretty despicable behaviour UCL. You can lock the gates and try to isolate the students at the encampment, but they are NOT alone and Alumni & the community support them and their demands.

Did you know @UCL has locked the public and journalists out of its campus to isolate the student Gaza solidarity encampment?

I was refused entry yesterday. Why isn't this this a bigger story? Indefensible.

Completely missed this story.

Trinity College in Dublin has pledged to completely divest from Israeli firms after students launched an encampment.

Students have agreed to end their five-day encampment.
