Today, students at UT Austin organized a protest in solidarity with Gaza and were met with police violence. When authorities respond to dissent with force, it not only suppresses the voices of young people but also erodes the foundation of democracy itself.

Texas DPS officers are the same people that are arresting and jailing immigrants under Greg Abbott’s “operation lonestar”

All of this is connected. We can’t ignore that we’re organizing against coordinated state oppression.

Sooooooo Texas cops feel ok moving in quickly with peaceful protestors, but are too scared to do anything when children were shot in their classrooms in Uvalde... Seems like they're more interested in asserting power, not keeping kids safe.

I organized at UT Austin for years w/ Free Palestine & we routinely mobilized on campus, with even more force. We never experienced this amount of state repression. The UT Admin catering to fascist Abbott have revised student codes and weaponized the state to suppress student activism.
