Last week, United Nations CTED participated in a @GCTF-organized workshop with support from the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism #UNCCT .
Training experts from 16 organizations came together, sharing their expertise with a view to update the Training-of-Trainers manual on the GCTF Good Practices Framework Document.
This Monday, 29 April, the UN #CounterTerrorismCommittee will hold an open meeting on “Building resilience of communities to prevent radicalization to terrorism”.

At #IDBorders 2024, United Nations CTED stressed importance of data sharing to detect & ID terrorists & their cross-border movements.
But major gaps remain in implementing biometric systems & data sharing, incl protocols.
Coordinated delivery of Member State technical assistance is key.
United Nations CTED commends Government of Nigeria's Office of the national security adviser for hosting the #AfricaCTmeeting , expressing its strong commitment to work with African countries in implementing UNSCRs on counter-terrorism & enhance regional cooperation & institution building on the continent.

At this week's Global Counterterrorism Forum 2nd Border Security & Management Initiative Workshop, United Nations CTED promoted the Abu Dhabi Guiding Principles & highlighted the importance of establishing Public Private Partnerships within the UAS industry to keep pace with the rapid advancement in technology.

United Nations CTED co-organized w/ @MauritaniaUN Republic of Korea Mission to the UN🇰🇷🇺🇳 UN Women & UNICRI event at #CSW68 on gender-responsive efforts to prevent violent extremism in the Sahel. To this end, ASG/ED Natalia Gherman noted the key role of civil society & women's orgs in building community resilience.
This past week United Nations CTED hosted its Insight Briefing on “Latest trends in the use of #cryptocurrency by terrorist groups and their supporters”, provided by terrorism financing experts from blockchain intelligence company @TRMLabs.
