In #SouthSudan , #Malaria is a leading cause of death killing an average of 20 people daily. This #WorldMalariaDay , we urge the transitional government to allocate more funding to public health services to #EndMalaria .
Less than 50% of South Sudanese have access to essential health services. This #WorldHealthDay , we renew our call on the transitional government to allocate more funding for basic health services for its people.
Last week 1,387 South Sudanese youth graduated from USAID’s youth training program in Western Bahr el Ghazal. Now, they can read and write, and have the basic skills to start a business. Click here to read more about USAID’s work in #Education .
