The iron and steel manufacturing industry is one of the highest greenhouse gas-emitting sectors. UW-Madison Mechanical Engineering’s Luca Mastropasqua, PhD will use a $10M grant from Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy to pioneer technology for using clean hydrogen to decarbonize steel production.
