Headteacher Richard Brown and some students from Urswick attended a Service of Thanksgiving for the life of HM The Queen on Sunday.

Last night we welcomed parents and their children in Year 11 to plan for GCSE success. Leading Learners, who are already achieving five or more GCSE grades at 5 or above were presented with a special tie pin. The rest of the year group can also become leading learners!

During this period of mourning, we have remembered HM The Queen and celebrated her life of service and dedication to God. The Urswick School will be closed on the day of her funeral, Monday 19th September.

It is our first day back with all year groups and here is Urswick's new and improved canteen ready to feed over 1000 students. Every child at The Urswick School receives a free school meal every day!

Our Year 11 Prefects were in school today to support our new Year7s. Everyone received a free school lunch. At Urswick every child is given a free lunch every day. This should really help families cope with the Cost of Living Crisis.
