Canada Post unveiled a new stamp honouring a Manitoba-born First Nations war hero, Sgt. Tommy Prince. Prince was awarded 11 medals for his service during the Second World War and Korean War, making him the most decorated Indigenous veteran of those wars.

The final piece of the Trail of the Caribou was dedicated in a ceremony held on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey on Friday. The memorial is dedicated to 1,076 Royal Newfoundland Regiment soldiers who landed at Suvla Bay on Sept. 20, 1915.
