This year's inductee in the Media category is Dan Russell! During a 40-year career he pioneered modern ‘sports talk’ radio in BC as host Sportstalk, the longest-running sports talk show in BC history (1984-2014). He also served as Play-By-Play for Vancouver Canucks and Vancouver Giants.

October 26th-On This Day in BC Sport History: 1968

Vancouver swimmers Elaine Tanner & Marion Lay along with Canadian teammates Angela Coughlan & Marilyn Corson, help the Canadian 4x100m freestyle relay team to a bronze medal finish at the Mexico City Olympics, swimming 4:07.2.

Gloria Levina Moody, a 26-year-old mother of two, was murdered October 25, 1969 just outside Williams Lake. She is the first victim of the RCMP’s E-Pana investigation into the Highway of Tears missing and murdered women. Lee is part of my book #ColdCaseBC evelazarus.com/book/cold-case…
