.Federal Transit Admn on brand riding the Barbie-themed Dream KC Streetcar 🚊 while in downtown Kansas City, Missouri for the Midwest #Transit Conference. Ridership is at 90% pre-Covid level w 10 min headways. Very convenient way to get to Union Station, farmers market, restaurants & museums.

First time I'm seeing new Metro Forward fare gates @ Mt. Vernon Sq 7th Str-Convention Center. I've also noticed increased security presence throughout the system.

No matter the country #FTAonBrand always riding #transit . So easy traveling around Spain via bus, metro & rail. Dedicated bus & bike infra/signals, roundabouts, clear wayfinding, scooter parking & bike share make it easy to use every other mode instead of a personal car.

Congrats Spokane Transit, for opening the City Line bus rapid transit route! The ribbon-cutting today was headlined by FTA Deputy Administrator Veronica Vanterpool Governor Jay Inslee & Mayor Nadine Woodward. FTA was proud to contribute $53.4 million to vastly improve Spokane’s transit system.

Another highlight of my visit to City of Pittsburgh is riding the Monongahela Incline funicular to the top of Mount Washington. In the 1870s, and decades after, this was a mode of transit for those working in industry along the Allegheny River but living in the city's steep hills.
