Much as they denied it then, reviewing the hospital building programme was the Labour election policy - but they accused anyone who pointed this out of 'lying'. What it means in reality now is exactly what I said it would: Kettering General Hospital is at best delayed, at worst shelved.

Hang on. Those pensioners have historically had BOTH the uprated State Pension and the Winter Fuel Payment, including when I was Department for Work and Pensions. This change erodes their base income. To somehow suggest it's compensated for overall is disingenuous as they'll be worse off year on year.
