HAPPY BIRTHDAY: To 2017 #WEC (📸) LMP2 champion Bruno Senna 🇧🇷
Senna is a unique figure in the series, as the only driver to win in all four major classes - with Aston Martin Racing, RGRSport and REBELLION Racing, whilst becoming one of only 24 drivers to win 10+ races in the process.
10 British drivers won in #WEC (📸) GTE Pro, the most of any nation. This group won for Aston Martin, Corvette, Ferrari & Ford.
Nick Tandy came closest for Porsche (P2 at Silverstone 2014).
Tom Blomqvist (P2 at Fuji 2018) & Alexander Sims (P2 at Sebring 2019) closest for BMW.
.Porsche Motorsport (📸) customer team Project 1 Motorsport won in GTE Am at both of their first two #8hBahrain races, in 2019 and 2020.
Both lineups featured Larry ten Voorde, in only his 2nd and 4th #WEC races. Sweet.
Of the 12 #WEC circuits a Corvette Motorsport (📸) has competed at, Bahrain is one of only two at which the marque has never achieved a podium finish, alongside Mexico.
The best result for a Corvette Racing in Bahrain came in 2012, with Larbre Competition finishing 4th in GTE Am.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY: To Hypercar driver Pipo Derani 🇧🇷
Derani’s 29th and most recent #WEC (📸) appearance came at #6hMonza 2022. 13 of those races ended with a podium - across LMP2 with G-Drive Racing and Extreme Speed Motorsports, GTE Pro with Ford Performance 🥇, and LMP1 for REBELLION Racing.
31 - WRT - W Racing Team’s win at #6hFuji was the 10th victory in LMP2 by cars wearing number #31. Fuji was WRT’s fifth win, with REBELLION Racing winning four times, and DragonSpeed once with the number.
Only numbers #26 (17 wins) and #38 (11 wins) have seen more LMP2 success.
#6hFuji 2022 saw Mike Conway and KAMUI KOBAYASHI record a 2nd-place finish for the 15th time each, matching Gianmaria Bruni and Sebastien Buemi’s P2 totals for the record-most in #WEC .

Their #38 finished on the podium at all four of these races.
