FAO Malawi WFP Malawi Danish Red Cross Malawi Malawi Red Cross Society & Department of Disaster Management Affairs-DoDMA with funding from EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺 are launching the #ECHOHIP aimed at strengthening disaster risk management systems in Malawi to proactively respond to extreme weather events and shocks.
“Because of the #climatecrisis , we decided to supply tree seedlings to the school to provide shelter for our children and protect the school structures against heavy winds”, says Patuma from Kambiya Cooperative which supplies food to schools under the Home-Grown School Feeding🌳

As food security worsens in #Malawi this lean season, World Food Programme supports the urgent regional procurement & delivery of 23,000 mt of maize flour to meet the Government’s response needs.
Thanks to the World Bank, this life-saving food will reach 1.7 million people across 12 districts.
