It’s not yet been one year that the NT Wallington beaver family were introduced, but their influence as a keystone species, restoring life to this part of #Northumberland , is astounding. 🧵 3/4

Woody dams are holding back water, redirecting the stream to form new wetland habitat where Brown Trout leap, damselflies meet and Grey Herons and Otters feed.

The living structures are visited often by nesting birds, busily foraging for insects hiding within. 🧵2/4
