It's been a #FunghiFrenzy at Knowle Hill and our volunteers found lots of fantastic fungi to snap like shaggy ink cap, birch bolete, blusher, and amethyst deceiver.

It was a treat to find Scarlet Waxcaps at one of our reserves as they are not common.

They are small bright red, wet look #Toadstools . They grow in clumps in cropped grass, lawns and woodland clearings from late summer to early winter.

We have been busy installing #BirdBoxes at our Buckley nature reserves.

Boxes are best put up during the autumn when many birds are looking for a suitable place to roost or feed.

They often use the same boxes for nesting the following spring.

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay which is all about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change.

Our projects and #Volunteering opportunities offer the prospect to improve #MentalHealth & #Wellbeing , supporting individuals to be more active and to get outdoors.

We have some #FlyTipping of green waste at our reserves, and would just like to remind everyone that even tipping grass cuttings is fly tipping.

This pile which was tipped recently included species of laurel which is a non native invasive species and can harm #Habitats .

We think this could be the #Biggest , #Highest and #Best grass pile we have ever built at our Rhydymwyn nature reserve.

Charley captured this great photo of a juvenile newt making its way out of one of our ponds.

#Newt tadpoles stay in the ponds during the spring and summer and then they develop into juveniles capable of leaving the water.

Our Reserve Officers wanted to identify this rather large #Spider , we thought possibly a tube web #Spider but they are usually found further south or a black lace weaver?

Last week we visited Amgueddfeydd Wrecsam / Wrexham Museums for a great session to explore partnerships with the Museum of Two Halves (Football Museum for Wales & Wrexham Museum)

It was great to hear their plans to make the Museum the most #inclusive , #Engaging & #Exciting museum in Wales.
