A UCLA professor described the attack as ‘pure anarchy in which violent thugs were given free rein, seemingly with the tacit support of law enforcement. It placed scores of anti-war demonstrators in the encampment in direct and serious danger’ forward.com/opinion/608479…

Shafik betrayed the principles of academic freedom and free speech. She should be fired and never allowed back in university administration ever again. Allowing the police to arrest peaceful protestors, faithful students, and distinguished scholars is indefensible.

Yes, this is the first time in my memory that I've actually felt 'proud, proud, proud' to wear the baby blue. I've never been into alumni merchandise for any uni, but this moment feels different, due to the brave anti-war protestors among the students & faculty.

Columbia students have made history in their takeover of Hamilton Hall.

They’ve shown a generation that US and Israeli genocidal aggression won’t be taken sitting down, with echoes to the anti-war movement of the 1960s.

Dont. Stop.

One WKCR-FM NY student journalist says he hasn’t slept for 40 hours. Earlier, they pondered who would document what happens if not them. The pressure these young journalists are feeling is heartbreaking, and their work is outstanding. Standing with you all from WBEZ Chicago.

Honest question: When National Computing Education Accreditation Council gives a university 'W' category accreditation, does it mean that uni's CS prog is the 'best' in all of Pakistan? Or does it simply mean that this uni (like several others) can remain accredited, without further checks, for the next 4 yrs? 🤔
