I say this with no flippancy, but:

Saying something horrible happened and we need to discuss it but let’s be very careful not to blame anyone for it is an innovative and untraditional approach to journalism. Actually, that’s a lot of flippancy.

I definitely don’t hate anyone who supports Trump. I have many friends who support him (and many more who used to support him).

I absolutely do hate Trump because I think he’s a conman who’s hurt a lot of people, including his supporters.

A boring and earnest view of mine:

Responsible media organizations don’t devote airtime to making large groups of people hate each other. It’s antisocial and dangerous.

That’s Fox News’s whole shtick, I know, but there’s also an awful lot of it on MSNBC.

Tweeting the obituary of someone who died suddenly makes me feel sadness for that person, and their loved ones.

It convinces me of absolutely nothing about any medical product, disease or intervention. It's a shame to prey upon tragedy to make bad causal arguments.
