Can’t wait to celebrate the achievements of these amazing young composers! It’s been a joy to mentor them through this process as part of Thanks for the Memories 🎶 🏆 🎵
Amazing day yesterday seeing the young composers on Thanks for the Memories hear their first ever works brought to life by our wonderful Royal Northern College of Music musicians, inspired by immune memory & medical history. Tomorrow night International Contemporary Ensemble premiere ‘It’s the Algorithm’, a surrealist look at the children of AI, nanotech & gene editing. Marvellously told through the dramatic performances of Alice teyssier and danlippel, with opinions on the matter provided by the ensemble via AI 🤖🎶

It’s been a pleasure working with the Greyfriars Catholic School students on our ‘Thanks for the Memories’ science & composition project. After working hard with the wonderful University of Oxford music students today, 5pm will see the first ever premiere for these 19 superb, brand new composers! 🎶
Excited for the premiere of “HuuM”, the first work in a collaborative series with Emma Clarke. We explore what happens to the physical and linguistic phenomenon of Onomatopoeia in digital and hybrid spaces, through granular synthesis, timbral transfer & live & sampled voices.
