Being a freelancer and being sick don't go together. You have to cancel loads of things then spend the day, whilst sick, stressing about how to rearrange them and still get everything done in time. You can't afford to not do the work and no one else is gonna cover for you

Not exaggerating when I say I've been on a couple of shortlists per month for over a year now and none of them have come to fruition. Advice please for composers who have 'emerged-ish' because I'm too experienced for the schemes, but aren't trusted with the big boy projects yet!
