I recently had the pleasure of supporting the Royal Society of Tasmania as they embark on the mammoth task of restoring and conserving 900 pieces of 19th-century Tasmanian artwork. Preserving this heritage collection is important for future generations and our island's history.
It was a pleasure to welcome back staff, alumni & friends to mark 50 years of spatial sciences University of Tasmania The night was a celebration of fantastic work & research already achieved & how the University has a crucial role in shaping the future of spatial sciences locally & globally.
Today's announcement is genuinely humbling. While challenges lie ahead, including improving University of Tasmania student and staff experience, it it is privilege to serve a university community and work with outstanding colleagues to serve Tasmania, a place I love and call home.
