This was a great initiative to be involved over the last two weeks. 30 teenagers from across Ireland - many of whom heard about the programme from ABE teachers 🥰

Thanks to colleagues Amgen 🧪🔬🧬 NIBRT Systems Biology Ire UCD Conway Institute who inspire pupils in Amgen Biotech Experience Ireland classrooms with STEM talks 🧬🔬🧪🧫 🙏

Wow 🤩 will share these results tomorrow with all the students who joined us last week. First Irish Leaving Cert students to genetically engineer bacteria - we're making history here lads! 🧬

Our first ABE Advanced workshop went ahead yesterday with 16 students coming to UCD from Dublin, Meath, Cavan, Waterford, Kildare, Monaghan and Carlow 🤯

ABE Teacher Declan Cathcart 🇺🇦🇮🇪🇪🇺🇨🇦🧬 led them through transforming bacteria and carrying out a colony PCR 🦠
