Our next keynote, Dr. Una FitzGerald, led the CÚRAM lab to be the first in EU to gain Green Lab Certification from My Green Lab. She now chairs a national working group on sustainable public sector labs. On her talk you can learn more about the topic, sustainable labs.

The European Union has awarded a European Consortium led by Abhay Pandit €4.5 million for the @ELR_ScarProject to validate a novel hydrogel biomaterial that will prevent scar tissue from forming in the heart following a heart attack.

A great start to our art lessons for researchers last night with the brilliant Alison MacCormaic and Dr. Clara Sanz Nogues exploring ways for researchers to represent their work through art. Really looking forward to seeing what comes from the next six weeks of creativity!

Delighted to share our work published in Nature Communications and really fortunate to have fantastic collaborators (@DaCostaCardiac) and our funders Science Foundation Ireland EUCommision Very diligent work done by Paolo Contessotto to take this work to this level.

CÚRAM has partnered with local artists Birgit and Peter Lochmann, to create a large-scale mural with students from Claddagh National School. The mural was tailor-made to reflect the spirit of the school and community 🖌️ 🔬 🎨
