The United Nations has a long and disturbing history of antisemitism. We appreciate Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield taking steps to address the unacceptable bias that continues to plague the UN system, including the United Nations Human Rights Council. We're monitoring the situation in Munich, where a man opened fire near the Israeli consulate & the Nazi documentation center. This comes on the anniversary of the 1972 Munich Massacre when 11 Israeli athletes & coaches were murdered by Palestinian terrorists at the Olympic Games.

On 10/7, more than 100 people were murdered at Kibbutz Be'eri and 35 were kidnapped. Today, we went there to plant a tree and seed some hope. In Judaism, trees symbolize growth, renewal and resilience. May this tree flourish alongside the Be'eri community as they rebuild.
