Final: WoodburnBoysBasketball 67, Putnam 37 5A Third Place Cruz Veliz led WHS with 17 points. Liam Slattum scored 16 points, Brody Hawley had 11, and Anthony Figueredo added 10. Brooklynd Latta led the Kingsmen with 18 points.

After a tough game in the semis, Cruz Veliz bounced back big in the 3rd Place win for WoodburnBoysBasketball. The junior point guard was sharp with his jumper, scoring 17 points, while dishing out five dimes. He was a big factor on defense as well with five steals.

Showcasing his skills in his final high school game was Liam Slattum. The WoodburnBoysBasketball senior big man was dominant down low but also flashed his sweet shooting stroke from the perimeter and even some ball moves getting to the hoop for 16 points. 10 boards and 3 blocks as well.

Some toughness and true grit today from Brody Hawley. The WoodburnBoysBasketball senior swingman was a force getting to the basket and drawing contact and he did a great job on the defensive glass. He finished with a near double-double of 11 points and 9 rebounds.

As WoodburnBoysBasketball turns the page on this season one guy who will undoubtedly be a key guy on next year’s team will be Anthony Figueredo. In the 3rd place win, the sophomore wing showed off a nice touch from the perimeter and the ability to create off the bounce. 10 points total.
