Cruz Veliz led WHS with 17 points. Liam Slattum scored 16 points, Brody Hawley had 11, and Anthony Figueredo added 10.
Brooklynd Latta led the Kingsmen with 18 points.
After a tough game in the semis, Cruz Veliz bounced back big in the 3rd Place win for WoodburnBoysBasketball. The junior point guard was sharp with his jumper, scoring 17 points, while dishing out five dimes. He was a big factor on defense as well with five steals.
Every now and then, a team simply needs a bit of magic to grit out big-time wins. Fortunately for WoodburnBoysBasketball, junior point guard Cruz Veliz was a wizard all night, posting 24 points to lead the Bulldogs to the state semifinals. #opreps
