1. Scholarships for men to train as teachers, esp in early years and English and for Black and Hispanic men (as Helen Lewis also argues)
2. Setting public targets at school district level for share of teachers who are male, starting with a 30% goal.

Anthony LaMesa Particularly discouraging is the mid-2010s were full of 'urban revival' stories with lots of ppl moving to cities and pushing hard for change.

We were all optimistic that it was actually transformational but turns out it was all just a mirage of empty promises.

Yes, generally speaking, European cities have made tremendous progress over the past decade — new public transit lines, pedestrianized spaces, rebuilt streets, etc. — and United States cities have made minimal progress or gotten worse. It’s sad, but visible.
