Our 22nd Rock Pipit colour ringed as part of our long term project Hilbre Bird Obs. We’ve already had some fantastic sightings away from the islands & 1 young bird seemingly recruited into the breeding population. Please keep an eye out for them to help us learn more Richard Smith

Today’s ‘species spotlight’ 🔦 was #LittleEgret Hilbre Bird Obs with a minimum of 18 birds in the gutters & flashes around the islands. These included two colour-ringed birds, both ringed at Hale as pullus by Merseyside Ringing Group this summer (more news, photos & info on our blog later).
