After 6y of hard work on in , we have a intense week ahead in the workshop for the final evaluation of the project of seabird in Cabo Verde funded by MAVA Foundation & coordinated by BirdLife. Hard to summarize in a few pages so many achievements!

I diverge from seabirds for one post. It’s been a while since anything melted my heart, but today this little lady turned me squidgy all over. Congratulations Annemarie and Ross for your beautiful Eloise.

A few photos of Cory's Shearwaters from an outing with Scilly Pelagics last Tuesday. A slight improvement on the distant views I've had of them in Northumberland!

REQUEST FOR PHOTOS. Do you have photographs of Desertas Petrel and / or Cape Verde Petrel for our research into field separation and identification of the two species. We would be truly grateful.

David Steel Here’s a super amount of seabirds (titi wainui/fairy prions, rako/Bullers shearwaters) from Tīkapa Moana in Aotearoa! It was a Monday… but we’ll count it for anyway

Hard to put into words today's experience. Hearing the words “BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER BRYHER” over the radio. Then on a boat, a “wet landing” and then this legendary bird is there in my viewfinder. People hugging, cheering and smiling everywhere. This is why I love Scilly.
