I came across a Uni (not in Australia) with 20 AI lecturers who have never published in NeuroIPS/AAAI/ICML and who have 80% of the students doing classical CS degrees, yet got rid of almost everyone who does non-AI and are now hiring more AI! How common is this around the world?
