I spoke at the Bloomington MN Travel and Tourism Diamond Service Awards to honor employees that work in hospitality. Tourism is a huge economic driver in Minnesota and none of it would be possible without the dedicated workers that make it happen everyday.

I joined members of law enforcement to highlight the importance of combating the fentanyl crisis. I worked to pass a bill this week to declare fentanyl a national emergency and impose sanctions on traffickers. People are dying and we must take action.

MN National Guardsman James Rogers served our country overseas and right here at home. His life was cut short in a Blackhawk helicopter crash. I joined his family and friends at a ceremony to rename the Winsted Post Office to honor that service and sacrifice to our country.

Earl Meyer put his life on the line for our country and earned this Purple Heart, and I am so glad that we were able to work with his family and the Army to get him the recognition he deserves.

Minnesota was the first state in the country with a majority of women on the high court, and now there will be a majority again with the appointments of Sarah Hennessy and Theodora Gaïtas— congratulations to our newest justices!

Today the Supreme Court hears yet ANOTHER case about abortion and if women can get emergency care at a hospital. Women’s basic rights shouldn’t be up for debate. The Court must affirm women’s access to emergency treatment. And we must codify Roe.
