In 2007, I was teaching journalism at Hanks. I wrote an article on Omar Garcia, M.Ed. being recognized as one of the best high school QBs in the state. 17 years later, I went to his first game as a head coach as Horizon Football beat Socorro. Teachers are always proud of their students!
