Incredibly disheartening that it took 4 years and countless dashed #Olympics dreams to achieve global recognition that: -Covid IS more than just a cold -Even the "young and healthy" can be impacted -Basic infection control measures should be embraced in high-risk settings 😞

Thanks to everyone who did wear a mask at the DNC, and I'm glad there wasn't a strictly enforced mask ban. But as a public health communicator, I can tell you this language discourages people to wear masks. Stop trying to make excuses for the lack of sufficient COVID protocols.

Clinicians, if you see a patient wearing a mask - just put yours on too. Don’t ask us if that’s what we want. Don’t ask if we are unwell. Don’t make it so obvious that you don’t understand infection control. You work in a hospital. Pretend you get it, and put it on.
