Should the Australian government owe a duty of care to children & future generations when making decisions that will worsen climate change?

unfortunately this is how all referenda ever have worked. australians have always voted on principle and accepted that details will come later, because Parliament will not waste money on legislating structure until the country supports the premise. this was always going to happen
