HAMMAM 💔
On Saturday, our ANU co-production finished its run; written and directed by Louise Lowe, the new work saw the Peacock theatre transformed into a hidden underground world beneath O’Connell St during the Battle of Dublin. (1/3)

Final shows of Hammam today. ANU co-produced with Abbey Theatre transformed our spaces & created a magnificent piece of theatre where past and present crackled. Congrats Louise Lowe & all involved. Also what a body of work ANU created in the decade of centenaries.

Saw #HAMMAM ANU in the Peacock Abbey Theatre just before Christmas, with my son. What a story! Great production. He and I have had a number of discussions since - reliving the details & how we felt throughout. 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼to all involved. Can’t wait to see what’s next…

I experienced ANU Hammam last night. Staggeringly emotive, I was struck by the passion & courage of those who lived, loved & fought in this great city of ours. Very special theatre that I'll carry in my heart & mind, forever changed.

Abbey Theatre ANU again surpass themselves with #HAMMAN . Privileged to have been immersed in today's performance, even moreso as my Grandfather fought in the Hammam Hotel with Cathal Brugha. Very emotional, very real, superb acting, humbled by their deliverance.

Had an astonishing afternoon at #Hammam Audience (14 of us!) led all around #PeacockTheatre to witness the last days of Hammam Hotel on O’Connell St in Battle Of Dublin - characters led us in & out of rooms, telling their stories.. ‘what it felt like’. Brilliant ANU

#Hammam is astounding. Phenomenal work from ANU's Louise Lowe and Owen Boss, together with an army of brilliant designers, an amazing production team and a stunning cast. Huge congratulations to ANU & Abbey Theatre. V. lucky to have seen it.

I was lucky to see this incredibly moving and illuminating production by ANU which is just theatre at its very, very best. Can’t stop thinking about it today, still feeling the riot of emotions, and very grateful to have had the experience. Huge congratulations! 👏👏
