Imma be 100 about it. Take it for what you will from someone barely involved anymore, but I don't think that y'all should go to Big Bad Con at at all. If they can't handle a simple ask like this, how tf do you expect them to manage something complex?

You can't have a trust and safety team for "the safe con for PoC" be mostly white. Really, no trust and safety team should be. That's a huge red flag, even knowing 3 of the white folk on there. The best they can do is sympathize, and their knowledge will always be lacking.

The second red flag is deciding that the org needs "experts" on the matter. That's seemingly rational, but realistically insulting. You don't need an "expert" on Palestine when the ask is to let the people speak freely in support of anti-genocide.
