As someone who has spent years fighting on behalf of ride share drivers, this is incredible and disturbing. Even with Prop 22, this algorithm discrimination can be prohibited with a state law. Which legislator is willing to take on Uber & Lyft to protect workers?

Always worth mentioning amid the Teamsters dialogue: Kamala Harris was the Senate's tie-breaking vote on an $86 billion pension rescue that benefited the Teamsters more than any other union.

This is excellent reporting about truly outrageous price gouging by private equity firms. Democrats at every level should take up this cause and pass protections for people living in mobile home communities.

A twist in the Teamsters story: Teamsters leadership has cited the Biden administration's role in preventing rail workers from striking in 2022 as a reason for their non-endorsement of Harris. The Teamsters affiliates that represent rail workers have just endorsed Harris.

One underappreciated part of the non-endorsement story is the tension w/the Teamsters top priority of organizing Amazon. The Biden NLRB has made that much easier, thru its joint employer rule. If Trump wins, his NLRB will very likely undo that rule, making it much harder.
