“If you're still asking the minoritized to justify their experiences with racism/sexism/homophobia etc before you take a stand, you're part of the problem. If you're trying to find compromise with fascists, you're part of the problem.” Dr. Imani McElroy. #ASC2024 ❤️🔥💪

Very cool work linking trauma outcomes with social determinants of health at #ASC2024, setting the stage for looking at translational biomarkers that could help provide physiological insight from Randi Smith and Emory SOM at Grady Hospital GradyHealth. Very exciting work to come!

On Day 1 of the CHESA Fellows Retreat, introductions highlighted the roles of our fellows and alumni outside the hospital. Putting faces to names showcased the impact they have in their countries, demonstrating their dedication to the field and their need for ongoing support.

CHESA uniquely supports its fellows and alumni in perioperative care, wherever they are. With the retreat, we were reminded how crucial it is that we foster collaboration, build community, and support their professional development. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE!🎉✨
