biggest party majority in over a generation! most of the cabinet have lost their jobs! the Lib Dems have done better than they had in ages! but somehow most of what we're getting is the Tories who've unexpectedly clung on, and the few Reform wins - it's weird!

I know I keep banging on about this - and there is a conversation to have about democratic deficits and voting reform. I just don't remember similar mass outrage over FPTP when the Lib Dems got 11 MPs with 11.5% of the vote in 2019. They were basically just told to suck it up

The reason journalists are already fixating with danger for Lab at next election is that they've got used to a party winning a majority and doing nothing with it (see last 5 years). So they can't conceive of a gov that can enact policies that will define its standing in 2029.
