Some big news: Dublin City Council will no longer permit plastic bags to be used for waste collection on 90 streets of the core city centre (the overwhelmingly commerical area marked on the map). The move from bags starts this month: it'll be mandatory by January.

Usually with a traffic change, there's a few weeks of messiness before it works. But the changes to the quays have rapidly made such a difference to the bus, and have visibly calmed traffic. This is a post from Reddit, but I've had so many positive messages in recent days.
