The fantastic dr William Weir speaking about the crowd who still psychologise MECFS, and now jumped to LongCOVID. There are still well-known researchers and clinicians who are associating themselves with this lot. I wonder why…

Good to see they have confirmed results from our papers on fibrin: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33203441/ including that spike protein binds to fibrin: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34328172/ #teamclots Prof Doug Kell CBE #FBPE #FBPA🔶🇪🇺

You might find our 2021 work interesting too. Fibrinogen can turn amyloid in presence of spike protein. We refer to it as microclots, driving widespread endothelialitis. Note C&D) examples of clots from COVID; E&F) healthy clot formed with spike Overview: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37080828/

This is exactly what we observe as well: after 12-24 weeks of therapy with nattokinase/lumbrokinase or serrapeptase, the detection of microclots is usually negative. I only add platelet aggregation inhibition with aspirin depending on the platelet function test. 1/2

Second, a paper in nature showed that binding of Spike to fibrin leads to clots, which cause inflammation and neuropathology. Seems perfectly in line with the #microclots hypothesis of Resia Pretorius: nature.com/articles/s4158…. 3/7

I am shocked about the level of misinformation and ignorance in this speculative and highly distorted opinion in The i paper. Written by Clare Wilson who proclaims to be informed. We need to acknowledge the suffering of millions individuals with persistent symptoms of LongCOVID.

I read this great post from Kiwi 🥝✨ on masking. I post as a reminder: We need to do it, especially at places like airports or conferences or big events where spreading can happen. Covid is not over, anyone can develop LongCOVID, multiple infections make us vulnerable.

NEW Longest prospective study of #LongCovidKids: 1.3K kids who tested pos for #COVID19 were followed up to 3y. Of note, 89% of cases were “mild” & 9% had no symptoms, & 80% had zero doses of vaccine. Mix of variants, but most were Omicron then Delta. /1 thelancet.com/action/showPdf…

Rae Resia Pretorius Prof Doug Kell CBE #FBPE #FBPA🔶🇪🇺 Dr Asad Khan FRCP FRACP 🇵🇸🇳🇿🇮🇳🇬🇧#pwLC Dr Claire Taylor Harriet Carroll: Long Covid Scientific Consultancy Yup! Been saying this since early 2020 and I will continue to say it until we (humans) all get it… #COVID-19 does not cause pneumonia. It causes a vascular disease (clotting and inflammation of blood vessels) in the lungs and elsewhere in the body. #LongCOVID does the same.
