Often times I come across people who suggest to have the subject looking into the camera as far as a portrait is concerned as they feel the eye connect completes the shot. To me,it’s more about the person you shoot than focusing on one of many aspects of hitting the perfecto.

I personally see this as one of the best portraits I've shot in the last couple of years. Inspired by Richard Avedon's Carmen, Homage to Munkácsi shot in Paris in 1957, here's my spin on recreating a portrait with identical elements of style and fashion here in New York City.
