Trump released an ad featuring the University of Mississippi frat group who made monkey gestures and monkey noises at a Black woman student who was protesting for Palestine.

Trump’s people saw this footage below and cut away right before one of the members of the group his ad is praising made these monkey noises and gestures toward a Black student.

This is why I have no freaking interest in AI in journalism.

So Twitter’s “Grok” AI took the disgusting incident at Ole Miss, omitted that students were harassing a black student, and characterized it as “patriotic and humorous.”

In case you wanted to see where things are heading.

This does use a clip from the video that includes the frat boy making monkey faces, but the ad cuts the video off before it shows the one who made the monkey faces.

Anyway, I'm guessing Trump didn't ask Stacey J. Spiehler for permission to use her video.

Ole Miss is literally called this to honor how enslaved people had to refer to the slave owner’s wife. Black students account for less than 12 percent of the students there even though Mississippi is the most heavily Black state in the country. But keep telling me how DEI made…

A lot of these students were chanting 'Lock her up' and 'Lizzo, Lizzo, Lizzo' at a Black woman student while one danced like a monkey and made monkey sounds at her.

But the real danger on college campuses is DEI and students being exposed to dialogue about race and racism.

Clarification: This story and its headline have been updated to clarify that the court did not rule on the use of public funds for private schools, but instead sidestepped the issue by deciding that Parents For Public Schools did not have standing to sue.
