Do you know the difference between coronary aneurysm vs ectasia?
➡️Coronary aneurysm: focal dilation of a vessel - 1.5 times the reference vessel.
➡️Coronary ectasia: diffuse dilation of a vessel, usually involving 1/3 of the vessel length - 1.5 times diameter-wise

A patient in cardiogenic shock came for balloon pump insertion. Femoral ultrasound appears as below.
➡️The pulsatile structure on screen right is not the artery❗️- it’s the femoral vein with backflow.
➡️Artery (screen left) is not pulsatile due to lack of forward flow.
